In 1992, Bi-County Services, Inc. started a glove sewing operation that supplied the Defense Department with a cotton shell for use with chemical warfare gloves. The operation did business as Thumbs Up Glove & Sew. The sewing operation also manufactured cut and sew leather gloves for industry.
In late 1994, the glove sewing operation was discontinued and the sales and distribution of saftey and janitorial items began.
In January of 1995, Thumbs Up Glove and Sew was renamed Thumbs Up Glove & Safety, Inc. and has operated under that name since then.
In July of 1998, John and Jolin Whicker purchased Thumbs Up Glove & Safety, Inc. and are committed to excellent customer service and competitive prices.
